About Us

Hi, my name is Eddie Lamb and I am passionate about teaching people how to care for the elderly at home. The debate on nursing homes is a fierce one, and in my experience, I have found that older people would prefer to remain in their own homes. 

I have previously worked in a nursing home as a trained carer for 15 years. As you can imagine, I was able to talk to countless residents within the home and get to know them on a personal level. 

While some found that their quality of life improved once they moved into the nursing home, the majority wished that they were able to stay where they were with their independence. 

At first I didn’t think much of this. But as more and more of the residents mentioned this, it got me to thinking - why can’t we fulfill this wish and allow older people to remain at home?

How do you feel about being moved into a nursing home when you’re older? This seems to be a question that we never really give much thought into. I certainly don’t want to be moved into a nursing home and have to leave the majority of my belongings behind - do you? 

After that reality check, I began my mission in teaching people how to care for older people at home, so that they can remain safely in their freedom and independence. 

I hope that you’ll find something of use on my website. I would love to think that I have helped just one older person remain at home, where they feel the happiest, during their final years.
